In recent times, the world has become totally different from what it used to be say about a few decades ago. The change can largely be credited to the invention of the internet and the following blitz of social media sites. The internet has truly revolutionized the way we communicate with each on a daily basis. Along with the smart phones, social media sites have changed the course of history because they have managed to change our basic behaviours.

These days you can find anything and everything on the internet by simply searching for those things at the right places. These ‘right places’ are known as search engines and they help you search for online pages that are relevant to your search. You can then move along to choose your preferred product or service and you shall be on your way to virtual satisfaction that becomes real, the moment the product or service arrives at your door step. Due to the rise in power of the internet, there came to be a new kind of vocation called search engine optimisation or SEO.
Search Engine Optimization is the process of improving the visibility of a website on organic (“natural” or un-paid) search engine result pages (SERPs), by incorporating search engine friendly elements into a website. A successful search engine optimization campaign will have, as part of the improvements, carefully selected relevant keywords which the on-page optimization will be designed to make prominent for search engine algorithms.

Suddenly due to the benefits of SEO there was a surge of SEO companies around the world. SEO companies in India too popped up at an alarming rate and flourished. There was simply an excess of work and not that many companies to do it diligently. Therefore, certain companies ended up gaining the upper hand in this situation and taking up the bulk of work because they could deliver.

An SEO company in India is no different from its international counterparts. They all have the same aim – use terms and words to make sure that the content they want to bring up appears in the first few pages of a search engine’s search list, for that specific search term. There are few ways through which great results can be achieved but those ways are largely illegal. Such methods are collectively termed as Black Hat SEO techniques. The biggest search engine of the world, Google looks out for companies that use such techniques and regularly bars them from posting on its search engine’s pages.

The SEO techniques that are considered good or legal are collectively termed as White Hat SEO techniques. These are the techniques that the majority of the world uses to get better results from a search engine.
